I wanted to do this photo for a number of reasons.  First, when I saw the Cheerno Sailor outfit, the classic Life magazine cover from 1945 of the sailor kissing the nurse immediately came to mind.  It's been 80 years since the victorious end of WWII, and I wanted to commemorate with a throwback to this photo.  Also, with Pride now underway, what better way to give a nod to our continued fight for the LGBT+ community to serve in the military.  Our fight and struggles continue, but with our unity I know we will experience victory.

Let me tell you why I adore Dominic Darkmatter.  First of all, he is into ladies.  And while that alone would not propel someone to the top of my list, what I love is he is a straight ally that is comfortable enough in his skin to be around the gays with absolutely no issue.  Shout out to him not being freaked out I stole a peek of him in the locker room.  And if you haven't noticed, his artistic talent is incredible. And to make this photo even better, Lucas Korday jumped in to help bring it to life.  Besides being super nice, he makes the most delicious food in Second Life, so make sure to stop by his store and get a bite!

It's been 4 years since I have taken a photo with Presston, and while I feel like I get to talk to him on the RL side more these days, it is way overdue.  He is a great friend, and although I know I drive him crazy, I am glad he is still around.  He definitely needs some therapy after being my friend! :D

A lot of my friends this year have escaped to real life, so Second Life has been a bit different.  One of my bright spots in this virtual world has been getting closer to Zain.  He has become a dear friend: someone who can make me laugh and with whom I can be stupid.  He and his boyfriend Juan are so nice and endearing.  It's not often you meet someone who doesn't want something more than a plutonic, light-hearted friendship.  I'm so glad he decided to celebrate Pride with me!
